What Ellor keeps about you, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
Ellor runs ellor.quest and is responsible for the information described here. For any privacy question or request, write to hello@heralds.quest.
What we keep
- Your account: the email address, account ID and display name Google gives us when you sign in.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. We set no tracking or advertising cookies.
- Your campaigns: what you write, the story written back, and the record each turn keeps of your world.
- Service logs of each turn, used to run the game and fix it.
Where it goes
- Amazon Web Services, in London, stores and runs everything.
- Google signs you in.
- DeepSeek and TypeSafe receive the text of each turn so their models can play it. DeepSeek is a company based in China. Do not write anything in a campaign you would not want a model provider to see.
We never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
A campaign is kept until you delete it from your campaigns page; deleting it removes its story and its world. Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or move your information, and object to how we use it. Write to hello@heralds.quest. If you think we have mishandled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
